Uncovering the frailties inside the Holy Shroud Guild
The ultimate contribution by the Holy Shroud Guild was to lead an American team of scientists during the 1978 Ostensione. The occasion marked the first time that Americans were part of an International collaboration in Shroud research. However, in less than two years, the relationship between the American scientists, and Turin's ecclesiastical became embittered.

Microscopic Images examining the Shroud's Image
Microscopic photos of the first generation prints from the Enrie's fiber-base black and white collection.
With the aid of these macro images, amplitude modulation can be observed on the Shroud of Turin as either dots or converging lines possibly caused from the the 3 to 1 Herringbone Twill.

Reader’s Cognitive Response Toward Two Problematic Peer-Reviewed Manuscripts
As material director of the Holy Shroud Guild, I have been asked by many Sindonologists to assist them in research because of the vast amount of historical documents I possess. In Thibault Heimburger, MD. Paper, The origin of Rogers’ Raes and C14 samples, published in 2014, I was honored to assist Heimburger with his project. His paper documents each step of the chain of custody concluding the authenticity of Raes and the carbon 14 samples excised in 1988. Nonetheless, even with the same documents in hand, I can not be completely convinced with Heimburger’s final analysis; and I am not alone as seen in the David Mo and Heimburger exchange on the Shroud Story Blog Page hosted by Dan Porter. http://shroudstory.com/2014/12/01/paper-chase-the-origin-of-rogers-raes-and-c14-samples-by-thibault-heimburger/
From empirical studies on the topic of confirmation bias, I conclude that this is the reason why we interpret information differently. Using other empirical studies, I conducted my own research on the topic of confirmation bias, titled, Reader’s Cognitive Response Toward Two Problematic Peer-Reviewed Manuscripts that can be found on,

I also would like to take this time to thank everybody who participated in my research paper.

The Reader’s Cognitive Response toward Two Problematic Peer-Reviewed Manuscripts
Abstract
This research explores two populations' cognitive responses towards two peer reviewed manuscripts. In both manuscripts, experts in the field criticize the text, and conclude them unfit for publication. To examine participants' feelings relative to the critic's report, a survey was created that deliberately opposes the manuscript’s legitimacy, and accepts the critic’s assertion. Two populations were surveyed on two distinct subjects. The subjects ranged from the radiocarbon testing of the Shroud of Turin defying the results performed by three distinguished laboratories, to the dangers of Glyphosate (Roundup) for human consumption. The first group was specifically targeted based on their expertise on the Shroud of Turin. The second group was randomly selected, and has no known level of expertise on either of the two topics. Using a Likert Scale study, ordinal data was collected and then observed. Based on the findings, the research has shown that a relation does exist between the population’s experiences relating to the subject. The results demonstrate participants’ unwillingness to accept any credible evidence that contradicts their beliefs. The assumption is that the more knowledgeable participants were about the subject being surveyed, the more probable confirmation bias was present.
